He was predeceased by : his brother Burton Nelson; his former life partner Lucille Kippen; his parents, Walter Carl and Nellie Elizabeth Nelson; and his siblings, Grant, Florence, Homer, Carl, Ethel, Mary, Maddie, Norris and Nina.
He is survived by : his brother Morganites; his wife Neeta Kippen; and his children, Kevin Nelson (April), Alana Heinrich (Patrick), Tracia Francis (Mitchell), Travis Nelson (Kristene), RoxAnn Ovard (Casey) and Haley Winn (BobbyJo). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
