He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Porter and Faye Porter of Devil's Slide; his wife Nancy Coombs; his son Robert; and his siblings, Alan Porter, Donna, Barbara Mountz and Peggy Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Brad Porter (Shari), VeAnne Day (David), Stephen Porter (Marlena) and David Porter (Trudy); and his daughter-in-law Makiko Porter. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
