He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Cooley Young; his wife Gayle Sharon Reed; his mother Melva Bernice Crawford Weight; and his brother Melvin Robert Young. He is survived by: his sons, Brad Young (Barbara), Kyle Young (Lisa), Troy Young (Marcia) and Cory Young (Jeff Grimsdell); and his siblings, Lynn Young (Theresa), Vickie Allen (Mike) and Debra Babb (Michael). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren 22 great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary (4760 S State St, Murray, UT 84107). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
