She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Maiben Stephenson and Ruth Brunson Stephenson; her husband Morris Goates; and her siblings, Charles, Malcolm and Sharon.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Goates (KaraLee), Russell Goates (Rachel), Cheryl Carter (Dave), Karen Peterson (Steve), Kristen McRae (Quentin) and Michael Goates (Shalisa); and her nieces, Peggy Christian (Del), Lori Paulsen (Brian), Kelly Rich (Mark) and Carolyn McPherson (Rob). She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Brownstone Chapel (6410 S 725 E, Murray, UT 84107).
