She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Asa Laws, Jr. and Marie Black Laws; her husband Vanon William Dyson, Jr.; her stepfather Presley DuVall (Evelyn); her siblings, Richard Dwight Laws and Theda Timmins; and her great grandchild Penelope.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Marie, James, Michael and Robert Carney (Tisha); her siblings, Kenneth DuVall (Mary) and Rita DuVall; and her close friend David Farris. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
