He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Kimball Montgomery and Thelma Hall; his son Mark; and his siblings, Vern Montgomery, Patty Vining (Dale) and Ruth Bown (Roger).

He is survived by : his wife Catherine Brown; and his siblings, Thelma Shinney (late Richard) and Dick Montgomery (Chris).
