He is survived by: his wife Claudia Lou Scott Runolfson; his children, Michele Gunnell (Mark), Michael Runolfson, Mindy Clift (David) and Marci Tiedgen (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Nicole Gunnell, Carter Clift, Brooke Gunnell, Canon Clift (Avery), Gabe Tiedgen, Austin Gunnell and Amy Tiedgen; and his siblings, Vala Jeanné Runolfson, Janeen Runolfson (Kent Runolfson), Arlen Runolfson (Judy), Muriel Cook (Tom) and Debra Aston (Michael).
Viewing was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Building (787 E 1700 N, North Ogden, UT 84414). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens (100 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, UT 84404).
