He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos of Jesus Linares and Juana Victoria Flores; and his brothers, Antonio Linares and Juan Angel Linares. He is survived by: his wife Clementina Linares; his children, Jose Leonel Linares, Carlos Rene Linares, Maria Carmen Gonzalez, Rosie Wood and Mayra Victoria Fernandez; and his siblings, Carlos Linares, Herminio Linares and Maria Delfina Linares. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
