She was predeceased by: her parents, Natividad Calderon and Guadalupe Calderon (Parra); and her husband Alfonso Robert Garcia. She is survived by: her children, Yolanda Riojas (David) of Corpus Christi, Robert Garcia, Susan Blamey (Harvey) and Rita Aguilar (Danny); her grandchildren, Melissa Riojas, Nicole Riojas, Tyler Garcia, Jeremy Bierwolf, Jenny Crawford, Danny Aguilar Jr., Matthew Aguilar and Rome Aguilar; her stepgrandchildren, Vincent Kovalenko, Kathleen Kovalenko, Jaiden Blamey and Chantelle Rodriguez; her sister Ramona Longhouse of Pueblo, Colorado.; and her pet Holly. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
The family encourages charitable donations to the ASPCA, Humane Society of Northern Utah, or to other local animal shelters in honor of Betty's love of animals.
