She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Steven Emery Meikle and Lula Griffin; her close friend Tom Thorpe; her children, Todd (Amanda), Jeremy, Melissa (Dustin Hurd) and Angela; her husband Tom; her daughter Angie (Anthony Grimsley); her grandchildren, Carson, Hayden, Jack, Norman, Dallin, Madison, Boston, Marshall, Nova Rose, Mathis and Monroe; and her siblings, Doug Meikle, Ida (Kim Ryan), Colleen (Dave Albiston) and Shirley (Dave Reese).

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Ogden Nature Center as an expression of sympathy and love.

“To the Thorpe family: Heather, Val, and I were heartbroken to hear of the passing of this truly good woman. She was truly lovely, inside and out. How blessed you were to have Brenda as a wife and mother. I remember being about seven and at your home. Brenda was canning fish. I had never heard of such a thing but she made everything seem like so much fun; when I grew up I learned how to an fish and still do it! She was always so good to my mom. I hope they have got to meet. We love you.”
