She is survived by: her husband Steven M. Smith; her sister Rhonda; her daughters, Rhonda Jean Merryweather, Kelly Ann Stackaruk (Tom), Jenny Rebecca Walker (Kerry) and Stephanie Lynn Craghead (John); Norma Platten. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In 2021, Alzheimer's began its slow, painful work—stealing memories one by one.
