He was predeceased by: his father Leo Calvin; his wife Carol Joan Watkins; and his siblings, Farr, James and Bonnie Lee.

He is survived by: his children, Kristen Hyde (Ron), Kevin Hurst (Yasmeen) and Karin Hurst; and his grandchildren, Christopher Olsen (Briana), Jessica Holzer (Tyler), Sara Kate Olavson (Eric), Sophia Hurst, Vanessa Olsen and Will Hurst. He is also survived by nine greatgrandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Weber State University would be.
