We announce the death of Deborah J. Barnes (Ogden, Utah), who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 77. Deborah will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Deborah will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Deborah will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Deborah’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Barnes; her parents, John Hampton and Dorothy Hampton; and her son-in-law Rich Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Jeff Dotseth (Shari), James Barnes (Trisha), Christel Thompson-Chamberlain (Matt) and Melanie (Cory). She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM.
