He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlyn Myers Garside and Ruth Alice Lloyd; and his brother Lamoyne Garside. He is survived by: his children, Joni Wall (Rick) and Steven L Garside (Cristine); his sisters, Ruth Ann Metcalf of Tulsa and Kelli Garside Tabarez of Ogden, Utah; his close friend Shirley Wahl; and his caregivers, Tahya and Scott. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 6 bonus grandchildren; 29. 5 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary (3408 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park (4500 S Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84403).
