He was predeceased by: his parents, George Scott Sr. and Jessie Ann Anderson; his siblings, Ella Richard, Jessie Scott, Galveston Scott, Sylvester Scott and Donald Scott; and his children, Carlis Scott and Steven Scott.
He is survived by: his spouse Marvine Hoskins (Molly); his siblings, Bennie Mae of Stockton, CA and Darletha; and his children, Tyrone Scott (Rachel), Jeffery Scott, Van Scott, Georgette Keith (Bobby) of Virginia, Tara Steward, Debbie Fuller (Martin) of Virginia and Zena Ingram (Larry Jr.) of Virginia. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
He made various contributions to the Salvation Army, Big Brother & Sister club, churches, and various Utah African American Community organizations.
