He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Nelson (Jim) and Lois Riley Nelson; and his brother Craig H. Nelson. He is survived by: his former wives, Marianne van der Stappen and LaRae Brown; his daughters, Shauna Nelson, Kristi Allred (Jason) and Raelyn Boman (Josh); and his siblings, Dee Nelson (Trudi), Sharon Groberg and Eileen Davis (Alan). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
