He is survived by: his children, Amy, Misty Lavine and James Lavine Jr.; and his brothers, Joseph Lavine, Stephen Lavine (Elizabeth), Tyrone Lavine (Debhora), Michael Lavine and David Lavine. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary (3408 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401). A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park (17111 1700 W, Bluffdale, UT 84065).
