He was predeceased by: his parents, David DeGroot and Helen DeGroot; his wife Jeanette DeGroot; his daughter Melody DeGroot McCoard; his brother Larry DeGroot; and his sisters-in-law, LaRae and Debbie.
He is survived by: his sons, Darren DeGroot (Rhonda), Steven DeGroot and Ron DeGroot (Lori); his son-in-law Scott McCoard; and his brothers, David DeGroot (Kathy) and Keith DeGroot. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Calendar Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary (3408 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary (3408 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84401). A burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Calendar Morgan City Cemetery (335 S State St, Morgan, UT 84050).
