He is survived by : his wife Rosemary; his children, Shannon Godfrey, Kristie Godfrey, Emily Pope (Gary), John E Godfrey Jr. (Vanessa), Stephen Godfrey and Mark Godfrey (Devin); his siblings, Lyman Godfrey (Katherine), Udell Godfrey (Deanna), Walter Godfrey, Loretta Robbins (William) and Gail Godfrey (DeeAnn); and his sisters-in-law, Diane Godfrey and Ann Godfrey.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pleasant Valley 5th Ward (5735 S Crestwood Dr, South Ogden, UT 84405). A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clarkston City Cemetery W.
