He was predeceased by: his parents, John Melo and Shirley Franklin Melo; his children, Diane Kay Melo, Tom and Johnny Melo; and his brother Ronald Melo.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Melo; his daughters, Charlotte Craig (Jeremy) of Ogden and Staci Melo of Ogden; and his siblings, Kathy Twitchell (Wes), Steven Melo of Gusher, Utah and Donald Melo of Gusher, Utah. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
