He was predeceased by: his parents, Reba Cottrell and Richard Cottrell; his wife Mollene Cottrell; his daughter Ericka Cottrell; his grandson Dominique Walton; and his brothers, Richard Cottrell, Baron Cottrell, Douglas Cottrell and Fredrick Cottrell.
He is survived by: his children, Nikolai Cottrell, Monique Cottrell-Mellon (Antonio) of Humble, TX, Kami Cottrell and Savannah Cottrell of Riverdale, UT.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He leaves to celebrate his life - his greatest accomplishments and contributions to the world 4 wonderful children: Monique Cottrell-Mellon (Antonio) of Humble TX; Nikolai Cottrell Layton UT; and Kami Cottrell San Francisco CA, and Savannah Cottrell, Riverdale UT.
