It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Franklin Smith in Ogden, Utah, who passed away on August 14, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C. Smith and Ruth E. Smith (Thomas); his daughter Victoria Lorraine; and his siblings, David Lee Smith, Carl Edward Smith and Sallie Ann Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Lorraine; his daughters, Valerie Johnson and Veronica Lindhardt (Doug); his grandchildren, McKenna Johnson, Emily Dalton (Kade), Molly, Max, Holden, Bailey and Harley Stout; his great grandchildren, Asher Rigby Dalton and Tanner Kade Dalton; and his sisters, Norma Jean Jarrett and Elizabeth Painter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
