She was predeceased by: her parents, John Alfred Milliner and Mina Casper Milliner; her husband Jack Brooks; and her siblings, Ken, Jim, Etta, Jean and Marie.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Brooks and Curt Brooks (Janet); and her brother Lynn Milliner (Patty). She is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Although Nita didn't believe in volunteerism or donating money to charity, she bought innumerable bags of hamburgers for the homeless and opened her home to extended family members; her mother, her uncle, nephews spending summers, sibs and extended family members attending college.
