She was predeceased by: her parents, LaVere C. Nielsen and Luella Erikson Nielsen; her stepdaughter Tracy; and her granddaughter Nikisha. She is survived by: her daughters, Marsha Dearden and Kandace Weaver; and her sister Karen Ashliman. She is also survived by three granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and her youngest.
