She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wright and Emmalou Wright of Ogden, Utah.; and her siblings, Laura Wright Sells and James Wright. She is survived by: her son Mark (Sherri); her husband Sherwood Zimmerman; her daughter Amy Nesbit (Mark); and her grandchildren, Matt, Parker, Maggie Zimmerman, Cameron and Josh Nesbit. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Linda's memory to the First United Methodist Church Choir, 117 S. Academy St, Cary, NC 27511.
