He was predeceased by : his daughter Nicole Gear; his parents, Lester (Ruth Gear) and Louie (Ramona Trujillo); his nephews, Eric, Lyle and Joseph; and his great-niece Heather.

He is survived by : his wife Belinda Trujillo; his son Nicholas; his grandchildren, Anessa and Dominik; and his siblings, Lester Gear (Debra), Keith Gear, Susan Graf and Barbara Jean.

A burial was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ogden City Cemetery (Monroe Blvd & 1875 S, Ogden, UT 84401).
