He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Celestino Montoya and Pearl Eva Montoya (Spencer); his siblings, David Montoya, Peter Montoya, Max Montoya, Richard Montoya, Juanita Montoya and Margie Hansel; his grandson Jonathan McBride; and his nephew Spencer Montoya.
He is survived by: his children, Gina Montoya VanderWoude, Synthia Montoya, Danny DeHerrera and Ron Montoya (Lisa); and his brothers, Louis Montoya and Robert "Bobby" Montoya. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
