She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertie Spencer and John Oliver Brooks; her siblings, Frieda Matthews, Jeannette Brooks (Susan), Donald Brooks and John Clifford Brooks; and her son John Arthur Ladyman.

She is survived by: her sister Sharon McGovern; her children, Skipper Ladyman, Debra Ladyman and Dianne Ladyman; her nephews, Steven Mathews, Michael Mathews, John McGovern and Curtis McGovern; and her niece Kathrine Matthews.

“Ruth & Sharon were my wonderful loving neighbors for many years. They even took care of my beloved Bear-dog. I think that’s why they got G.B. Sweet little girl. Ruth was one of the first neighbors to befriend me. I had been in the hospital, the local church ward called a few neighbors, Ruth was the 1st, she brought a chicken pot pie! So sweet. Then came some of THE BEST vegetable soup I’ve ever had. Bad health kept us apart. I loved them like family. Love Pam Jensen.”
