With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Santiago Sandoval Jr. (Ogden, Utah), who passed away on August 30, 2020 at the age of 43. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Elaine Sandoval; his grandparents, Fillie, Stella Sandoval and Raider; and his nephew Pugsley.

He is survived by: his father Jim Sandoval (Krista Hyer); his brother-in-law Meo; his siblings, Maria Sandoval, Melinda Rocha (Emiliano) and Antonio Sandoval (Tifani); his nephews, Emiliano Jr., DeAngelo Rocha, Jordan and Austin Sandoval; his grandparents, Dan and Ramona Valdez; his godparents, Rick and Marianna Sandoval; and his godchildren, Edriena and Edison Ochoa. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Primary Children's Hospital in his name.

“It is with a very heavy heart to see that Santiago passed away. He just wasn't supposed to. He was an icon in our community. Never once would I go to the mall and see him talking with people and smiling. I especially remember Santi attending my daughters funeral in 1990. She had been in a car accident and I was grieving so much and then I saw Santi come in. I ran up to him and cried thanking him for taking the time to extend his condolences. Santi is truly a special angel sent from God.”
