He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Frutoso and Lugarda Herrera Valdez; and his sisters, Magdelene "Nena" Valenzuela and Sandra Esquivel. He is survived by: his wife Terri Valdez (Casida); his siblings, Leora Medina, Alfonzo Valdez, Isabel Perez (Liz), Bernice Gomez, Clara Valenciano (Genaro), Aurelia Re Valdez-Guardado, Jeronimo Valdez (Kris), Edward Valdez (Bobby) and Pamela Valdez Acosta; his siblings-in-law, Ervey Esquivel, Manuel Acosta and Robin Valdez; his grandchildren, Mauricio, Daisha, Daizee, Adreein, Capree, Mia, Anysia Gabriel (Dezmond), Rudy, Marisa, Esella, Savanna and Brooklyn; his great grandchild Armaniee; his brother Philip Valdez; his siblings-in-law, Joe Gomez, Johnny Perez and Juana Valdez; his grandson Deven Gallegos; and his nieces and nephews, Linda Gomez, Mariana Acosta, Chris Valdez, Johnny Knight, Jory Martinez, Phillipe Valdez and Anthony Dean Valdez.
