He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ashley and Gussie Ashley; his wife Rosalia Herrera Martinez; his siblings, James, Charles, John, Melvin, Noble, Cubie, Dorothy, Birdie and Betty; his children, Rosendo Martinez (Orpha), Tina Patterson and Diane Clemons (Sam); and his son-in-law Andrew Perry.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Nava, Teri Bell (David), Tami Ashley, Debra Ashley (Donna), Clorinda Perry, Barbara Alire (Steve), Gloria Martinez and Raymond Martinez; and his sister Barbara Johnson. He is also survived by grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.
