He was predeceased by: his parents, Albon Smith and Mary Smith; his brother Llewellyn (Heavenly); and his brother-in-law Randy King. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Powell; his children, Raleigh Smith (Tandi), Jordan Smith (Kelly), Lilianne Wright (Jason), Preston Smith (Courtney) and McClain Smith (Lauren); and his siblings, Cathie Miller (Jud), Stafford Smith (Shelly), Claudia King Lowder (Val), Woody Smith (Dawn), Shirley Smith, Heather Linchenko (Andre), Nathan Smith (LaDawn) and Cameron (Honica). He is also survived by grandchildren.
