He was predeceased by: his parents, John Murray Nicol and Margaret Nuttall Nicol; his in-laws, Betty and Wayne Nielsen; his siblings, Mary Nicol, Johnny and Brenda Nicol; his sons, Gregory Douglas Nicol and Travis Kent Leany; and his grandson Boston Gregory Leany.
He is survived by: his wife Diana; his children, Jilynn Jones, Carlos Saravia and Amie Leany; his grandchildren, Shelby, Micheal Black, River Blue, Kylee Norton Arcadia Leany, Isaac Vance, Berlin Leany and Cade Kanahele; and his great grandchildren, Brielle, Willow and Annabelle Black. He is also survived by family members and friends.
