He was also cherished by his 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, including a grandson.

His civic contributions were profound, including membership in the Eldridge Foundation, Orem Chamber of Commerce, and serving as a chapter president of the UAMI (Utah Alliance on Mental Illness).
