He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Miles and Amelia Landon Miles; his son John Christian; and his brother Paul. He is survived by: his wife Joan Carol Polatis; his children, Nelson (Mari), Joni Howard (Arthur), Terese Hickey (Tom), David (Loree) and Joey (Kelly); and his brothers, Jerry and Enoch. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
