He was predeceased by: his parent Merrill W. Afton Jenkins Heaton; his grandson Austin Craig Heaton; his great grandchild Avery Houston; and his siblings, Richard Heaton, Darol Heaton, Marjorie Andersen and Carol Jean Eves.
He is survived by: his wife Lenore Russell; his children, Jeri Lu Houston (Frank), Lorilee Cannon (Don) and Craig Heaton (Maggie Reeves); and his siblings, Dennis Heaton, Irene Jones and Sarah Fisher.
