He was predeceased by: his parents, Sever Laverne and Marjorie Hopperstead. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis A. Rowe; his daughters, Sherrie Bradway (Gary) and Shana Hopperstead (Ross DiCaprio); his grandchildren, Megan Anthony, Jessica DiCaprio, Todd Anthony (Kristen) and Ross DiCaprio Jr.; his great grandchildren, Jack, Will and Brian Anthony; and his sisters, Linda Hammond and Judy Short (Dan).
