She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirlif Powell and Florence Reece Powell; her husband Verdell Giles (Kelly); and her son Kelly Dean Giles. She is survived by: her children, Shirlene May, Connie Kenney (Joe), Larry Giles and Bob Giles (Liz); and her sister Ila Webb. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren.
