It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Johnson in Pleasant Grove, Utah, born in Newton, Utah, who passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 108, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Marcus Robert Cooley and Mary Ellen Hjelte; her husband Lloyd; and her brothers, Marcus, Hazen and Elias.

She is survived by : her children, Neil, Carolyn and Randall (Rebecca). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Even though largely confined to bed, she was determined to continue using her sewing machine to make projects for charity, which she managed to do, sitting in a wheelchair, until just a few days before her death.
