He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvador Valdez and Lupe Valdez (Cruz); his brothers, Jesse and Ernie; and his brothers-in-law, Dan Turner and Ben Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Turner; his children, Dj Valdez (Bonni), Patricia Valdez, Misty Valdez and Cody Valdez (Alexis); his grandchildren, Bryelle, Max, Kysin, Juna, Addison and Kelsi; his siblings, Lora Meraz (Fil), Ronald Valdez (Tammy), Denise Snyder (George) and Stevan Valdez (Robin); and his in-laws, Tim Turner (Linda), Debbie Turner, Susan Turner and Leah Lister (Tony). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
