He was predeceased by : his uncle Raymond Sanchez; his grandparents, Florencio, Rebecca Sanchez, James Orvel "Blondie" and Wreda Oveson Peterson; and his sister-in-law Chanta Peterson.

He is survived by : his pets, Puma, Pilot and Downey; his wife Francie Aufdemorte; his daughter Erin Cisco-Peterson; his siblings, James Orvel "Scooter" Peterson III, Natalie Peterson Cedeno and Stacy Ray Peterson; his aunt Becky; his uncle Rean "Max" Vandongen; and his parents, Betty Janet Sanchez Peterson and James Orvel Peterson Jr.. He is also survived by many other family members, dear friends.
