He was predeceased by: his parents, Ila "Jackie" Rea and Milton "Buddy" Rea; his friend Sherm Larsen of Kearns, UT; and his pet Maddilyn. He is survived by: his significant other Lindy Marie Rea; and his children, Paul Pearson (Crystal), Margo Gant (Eric), Marci Marie Duvris (Dean), Gary Shane Rea (Jaylynn), Lindsie Chelsie Rea (Cj Birch) and Maggie Ann.
