He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Martin Heer and Genevieve Bronson; his son Michael David Heer; his wife Maria Heer; and his brother-in-law Bud Pilling (Cathy Pilling).
He is survived by: his daughter Kris Heer; his granddaughter CheyLee Velasquez; and his sisters, Joan Pilling and Judy Hamilton (Les). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
