He was predeceased by: his parents, William Barker and Myrtle Louise Fletcher Poppleton; his sister Thelma Mae; and his wives, Narva, Janice Hyde and Delores.
He is survived by: his children, Joel M. Poppleton, Deborah F. Jones, Kris F. Shields (Dean) and Marie F. Taylor (Loren); and his siblings, Mary Louise, Dan and Beverly. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
When Delores developed Parkinson's and later dementia, Clyde cared for her with unwavering devotion.
