It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Colleen Sue Schafer Platt of Providence, Utah, who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Colleen Sue Schafer leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Colleen Sue Schafer may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick R. Schafer, Jr. and Grayce Erickson Schafer. She is survived by: her children, Julia Allen, Sarah Heiner (AJ), Emily Allen, Parker Allen (Laycee) and Laura Peery (Clint); and her stepchildren, Shawn Platt, Rhonda Platt and Austin Platt (Marie). She is also survived by Nineteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her seven siblings.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Richmond Utah LDS 4th Ward (150 S 100 E, Richmond, UT 84333). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
