She is survived by: her siblings, Melva Dene Smith Roach and Joseph Wesley Smith; and her children, Dorthy, Melvin (Kimberly), Jeppa (Joannie), Ruth, Denise (James Shelton), Michael, Joseph (Salli), Eugene, Daniel (Lisa) and George Jared.
