She was predeceased by: her parents, Sarah Agnes Westover and LaBriel Pickett; her aunt Geneva; her husband Sherman Taft Hill, Sr.; her siblings, Bronzel LaBriel Pickett, Mariam Phillips and Maxcine McPhee Weight; and her daughter Carolyn Joy Carter (Steve).

She is survived by: her aunt Glenna; and her children, Sherry Lee McCollum (John), ReNae Hill and Sherman Taft Hill, Jr. (Fran). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters.
