He was predeceased by: his parents, Martina Sarmiento and Seng Cheuck Sarmiento; and his father-in-law James Edmond Cruson. He is survived by: his wife Marri Jennifer Cruson (Cruson); his children, Janessa L. Hatch (Austin), Cassandra A. Severson (Eric), James T. Sarmiento (Marinda), Makayla N. Parris (Preston) and Dillon S. Sarmiento; his grandchildren, Indy, Duke, Cora and Theo; his siblings, Elizabeth B. Gurney (Michael) and Howard B. Sarmiento (Ann); and his mother-in-law Elsa M. Cruson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
