He was predeceased by: his mother Bernice Nelson; his wife Sara; his brother Richard; his siblings-in-law, Orel Babcock, Rex Dunn and Carol Dunn; and his grandsons, Sean Gill and Carter Nelson.
He is survived by: his father Paul Nelson; his children, Paul Nelson, Tom Nelson (Julie), Shawna Bleazard (Mark), Kaye Robison (Scott), Brett Nelson (Renae) and Travis Nelson (Alicia); his sister Diane Babcock; his sisters-in-law, Joanne Nelson and Janice Dunn; and his children, Lisa, Jared, Bishop Yorgason and Ward. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
