She was predeceased by: her parents, George H. Rhees and Oles May Taylor Rhees; and her husband Philip "Phil" Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Development, Diane Taylor (Richard), Sue Card (Kevin), Toni Clawson (Glenn), Bonnie and Rebecca Jensen (Wes); and her brother Gary H. Rhees. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren.

Each of her daughters attribute her example to their foundation of faith.

“Such a short time ago that I was visiting with LaRene at the time of Phil's passing. I remember her kindness and assistance to Phil's mother Vivian. I remember her smiling helpfulness when she was serving in the baptistry at the Provo Temple. When Wayne B Hales married Vivian Parkinson Taylor, it seems two very large families learned to appreciate one another. Although my life is slowing, I will miss the hearty greetings of Phil and LaRene at the Cougar BB games. Janette Hales Beckham”
